| . . . On a Grey Day
Just past Four PM, Pacific Standard Time, the M/Y Viking eases into the calm grey welome of Puget Sound. Past the Hiram M. Chittendon Locks and away from the shackles of the work-a-day world, the Viking and its crew of six have slipped effortlessly into the cliche of "island time"... Northwest style. The soothing pulse of the Viking's twin Izusus keep time to Jimmy Buffet's tropical steel percussion as the anticipation of San Juan cruising, good company, and silver-bright salmon blind all to Seattle's famous "liquid sunshine" lightly misting the Viking's mighty bow.
First stop... Langley, WA on Whidbey Island where a reservation for 8pm at the Star Bistro awaits.
