On the Bow

Life aboard the Viking is hardly all touring and scenery - here we see a crew member hard at work pulling on a line which helps secure the whaler. There are almost always lines to be coiled, fenders to be stowed, and laptop batteries to be recharged.

One particularly critical mission is that of ice control. While the ship's deep freeze takes care of the crews' Otter Pop ration, most of the beverages and perishables are kept in coolers which need daily infusions of bagged ice to maintain the proper temperature.
